Sports Massage
Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy, now known as Soft Tissue therapy, uses a mixture of every type of Massage and Stretching Technique along with Exercise Prescription to improve the functioning of client’s Muscles, Fascia, Tendons, and Ligaments (Soft Tissues). This Improves their movement, helps to aid recovery from exercise and to reduce the discomfort often felt from everyday life.
Massage and other techniques included within this therapy are, Clinical Massage, Deep Tissue Massage, Frictions, Trigger point therapy, Swedish Massage, Muscle Energy Technique (MET), Neuromuscular Technique, Soft Tissue release (STR) and Kensio Taping (K-Taping).

Sports and Remdial Massage Therapist
After gaining a BSc Hons in Micro Biology and Virology from Warwick University, Charlie changed direction first qualifying in Massage in 1996 with a Diploma from the London College of Massage. Later he added a Level 5 BTECH in Sports and Remedial Massage Therapy, currently the highest massage qualification in the UK.
Charlie uses a mixture of every type of Massage and Stretching Technique along with Exercise Prescription to improve the functioning of client’s Muscles, Fascia, Tendons, and Ligaments (Soft Tissues). His treatments are designed to optimize movement, relieve discomfort, speed recovery and improve your body awareness. This will help to relieve discomfort, speed your recovery after sport and to promote relaxation.
He has worked as a therapist on a number of pop tours especially for Kylie Minogue for whom he has worked on four tours. He has worked extensively with dancers through this work.
Charlie has seen people of all ages and lifestyles – from Ironmen to weekend warriors (you know who you are!), builders and grandmas – through his own clinic and at practices in Cambridge and Clapham, London.
He is a member of the ISRM (Institute of Sports and Remedial Massage) and the CNHC (Complementary and Natural Healthcare Council).
Charlie continues to keep fresh and updated on new techniques by regularly attending courses. The most recent of which was a Zoom lecture with world renowned expert on Fascia and Movement James Earls author of Born to Move. He has also trained with top physiotherapists Adam Meakins, Peter Malliaris and Christian Barton.
